People of Solidarity: Building Hope in Adıyaman

Following the devastating earthquakes on February 6, 2023, the People of Solidarity Association (Dayanışma İnsanları Derneği) was founded by volunteers to empower youth and strengthen the community in Adıyaman.

Our Support

With core funding and capacity-building support from our Institutional Fund, the association has made a significant impact. They’ve hired a full-time General Coordinator and a part-time Youth Worker while covering essential administrative costs to stay focused on their mission.

Through mentoring sessions and expert-led workshops, the association strengthened its organisational capacity. To ensure sustainability, the team developed a comprehensive fundraising plan to attract corporate and individual donors. A new communication strategy will help them engage more effectively with their supporters and strengthen donor relationships.

Through these efforts, the association aims to build a stronger, more sustainable future for their community. As stated by Tuna Semir Akpınar, General Coordinator of the People of Solidarity Association:

“There were times when we thought these difficult days would never end. But today, looking at what has been accomplished, there is hope for Adıyaman.”

Thank You to Our Donors
